Albany Oral History Project

PDF Print E-mail

The Albany Oral History Project, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Albany Port, began in 1990. There are over 50 interviews & more than 200 hours of recordings in the collection. The project employs interviewers who have completed training with the Oral History Association of Australia (W.A. branch).

Volunteers in the Albany History Collection transcribe and summarise interviews as they are produced and digital copies are available upon application. Copies of each interview are kept for reference and for loan.

A list of biographical details & recordings is available at Oral History Catalogue - Click Here

Most recordings are on cassette but we are in the process of converting the collection into digital format.

The Albany History Collection is a member of the Oral History Association of Australia (WA branch).
